The ECY Series developed by Sumitomo Drive Technologies is a compact reducer for zero-backlash applications. Combining the strain wave gear with the trochoid tooth profile of the Cyclo gearing developed by Sumitomo. The ECY provides high rigidity and a compact structure unavailable until now.
The ECY is highly torque dense, resistant to ratcheting, comes with a large hollow bore high speed shaft, and has integrated output shaft cross roller bearings for increased support.
