With Remote Access to Multiple Robots, the Smart Robot Box Makes Intelligent Manufacturing Effortless
POSTED 07/02/2020
NexCOBOT brings you the Smart Robot Box (SRB), a series of powerfulrobot gatewaysthat fulfills the automation industry’s need to link together major industrial robots on manufacturing lines. Such robots have been deployed across multiple industries to increase productivity and enhance manufacturing quality. Although this raises the overall level of automation, communication challenges, including closed architecture and disparate protocols, make it difficult to integrate seemingly incompatible robot brands and share data with the information system. However, by using the SRB’s web-based UI, users can easily configure different robots to transmit data to HMI, SCADA, and the cloud. With 24/7 web monitoring via smartphone or computer, users can access data, observe conditions, and immediately diagnose problems to prevent unnecessary downtime – especially relevant to users who can only access their factory floors and production lines remotely during the coronavirus pandemic. The SRB’s three models, the 100, 200, and 201, are each individually designed for specific industrial applications.
Put it all together
As a highly integratedrobot gateway, the SRB saves you the unnecessary hassle and costs of purchasing separate devices to build production infrastructure. Nor do you need to be concerned about procuring new proprietary equipment and software when switching robot manufacturers. Simply implement Modbus, TCP/IP, or mySQL protocols to connect leading industrial robots (such as ABB, KUKA, FANUC, Yaskawa, Epson, TM, and UR) to HMI and SCADA – for seamless data access. Better yet, your mobile phone or computer allows you to interact with a web-based GUI, where, with only a few clicks, you can easily monitor systems and configure connections for another layer of protection.
Amazing AWS
NexCOBOT’s SRB uses the latest and greatest technology, including supporting the MQTT protocol for effortless uploads to AWS’ secure cloud service. Developers can take advantage of the wealth of robot development resources in AWS RoboMaker, where they can customize and enhance robotics systems by building, simulating, and testing robot applications for ultimate deployment on the SRB. All of the aforementioned tools enable customers in traditional robot system, industrial automation, robotic automation, and smart manufacturing fields to upgrade existing legacy architectures so that workspaces become more cutting-edge, intelligent, and efficient.
Model choices for intensive tasks
All three of our Smart Robot Box models are powered by Intel®CPUs. The SRB 100 is our basic, Atom-basedrobot gateway,执行所有提到的功能与专业prietary applications. The SRB 200 and 201, with their respective Core™ i5 and i7 processors, are vital in coordinating robotics tasks. You can use the 200 for robotic control, smart path planning, and AGV control, and the 201 specifically for machine vision/learning and predictive maintenance. Both can also leverage Intel’s Movidius™ Myriad™ X VPU to run AI programs and OpenVINO™ toolkit to develop and deploy applications that emulate human vision.
