Optical Components Enabling LiDAR: Recent Trends and Developments being presented by Susan Wells, Sales Manager, IR Components, APD and PLD
BEDFORD, NH – The ADAS 2021 5th Annual Conference and Exhibition is being held virtually April 6 through 8, 2021. Laser Components USA, Inc. is pleased to announce Susan Wells, Sales Manager for IR Components, APD and PLD as a presenter.
Advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) require numerous and integrated sensors to accurately determine situational assessment and action implementation. ADAS technologies such as video, radar, LIDAR, ultrasonic and infrared (IR) sensors are being increasingly utilized in the market. The ADAS market is estimated to reach $84 billion by 2025. Key questions such as designs, reliability, and how AI will be integrated into the sensor processing and fusion systems.
Susan has over 10 years of experience in the photonics industry. Her technical sales positions have focused on design solutions geared toward customer’s specific needs. Active in connecting research and new technologies in the infrared community, Susan has successfully organized two IR WORKshops. She is excited to expand her experience by helping ADAS and LiDAR system designers find the optimum components for their particular applications.
“This conference is very important, as these smaller conferences bring many aspects of ADAS and LIDAR in supply chain together, stated Matt Robinson, G.M. for Laser Components, USA. Collaborative discussions can take place between components suppliers, OEMs, and Tier 1. The presentations help create opportunities for easier access to both markets. These interactions offer the ability to help find solutions and solve customer problems, creating a path to low cost, high-quality products that are vital to this market”.
The conference will also provide overviews of marketplace projections and business trends, including the topic being presented by Susan. The material presented will enable attendees to make well-informed decisions regarding which LIDAR approaches are optimal for solving their challenges and requirements. Laser Components USA sees the ADAS/LiDAR market growing and becoming more consolidated in the next 3 to 5 years, with time to create systems that are cost effective with more technological requirements and advantages.
